Two hurt in collision on Old Highway 99

A 21-year-old Rochester man and a 48-year-old Hoquiam woman were injured in a collision at 9:32 p.m. Tuesday at Old Highway 99 and 183rd Avenue in Thurston County, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Also according to the state patrol:

Shila J. Wyatt of Hoquiam drove her 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue across the center line on Old Highway 99, striking the 1982 Yamaha XV92OR driven by Kristopher W. Ziesemer of Rochester.

Both were transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. The cause of the crash is under investigation; alcohol or drugs are not thought to have been a factor.
