LEWIS COUNTY: Crash on Interstate 5 injures Auburn man

A 19-year-old Auburn man was injured in a two-car crash Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 5, about two miles southeast of Napavine, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Bobbie Gratland, 57, of Randle lost control of the 1993 Ford Escort she was driving and struck a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Candy Warren, 51, of Kelso. Gratland’s car was totaled; damage to Warren’s car was estimated at about $2,000.

Bobbie’s passenger, Matthew Gratland, was taken to Providence Centralia Hospital for treatment of wrist and neck injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
