Volunteers

The city of Lacey offers several opportunities for residents to become involved as community volunteers:

- Neighborhood Centers volunteers help with homework, tutor, read with children, assist with arts and crafts, and oversee recreational and sports activities. 360-493-2230, ext. 13

- Community Clubhouses provide students with safe and supportive after-school settings. Adults and peer mentors provide homework and academic help, recreational options and community service projects to students. 360-412-4466

- Drug-Free Communities Program, sponsored by Together, is committed to helping the community promote safe and healthy activities for youths. - Animal Services volunteers needed every day during working hours, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
