Green shows his power for Rainiers

TACOMA - Second baseman Nick Green went 4-for-4 with a pair of home runs and five RBIs on Thursday to lead the Tacoma Rainiers to an 8-4 win over the Portland Beavers at Cheney Stadium.

Green, who also had a single and an RBI double, raised his average to .321 for Tacoma (77-for-240). He hit a solo homer leading off the bottom of the first inning and a three-run shot in the sixth.

Charlton Jimerson added three hits and a stolen base for Tacoma.

Ryan Feierabend (6-4) pitched seven solid innings for the win. He allowed three hits, walked three batters and struck out three.
