Centralia names girls hoops coach
The Olympian CENTRALIA - Mark Westley has been hired as the girls basketball coach at Centralia High School, athletic director Josh Lowe announced.Westley replaces Curtis Norwood, who was hired in August to be the girls basketball coach at River Ridge High School in Lacey.Westley has spent the past six seasons as the associated head coach of the Centralia College women's basketball team. He also has coached in several sports at the high school and middle school levels in Centralia."Mark is an established coach in the Centralia community and he impressed our hiring committee with his vision, attitude and passion," Lowe said in a news release.Centralia went 32-37 under Norwood during the past three seasons, including 7-13 last season, and has missed the district playoffs in each of the past two seasons.
