So Anne Martens and Christian Sinderman were making the pitch for I-1000 around the Capitol today, and it struck me: what we need here is a primary for initiatives.

I-1029, 985, 1000, R2D2, They can get a bit jammed together, especially when you're also trying to sort out candidates for treasurer, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, auditor, and who ever else runs things, plus legislators and county commissioners, you get the point.

Why don't we add initiatives to the primary, so we can narrow them down to the top two vote getters for November?

Your faithful reporters would appreciate it.
