Adam Wilson expounds on Washington state government, workers and politics. Wilson began covering those issues for the Olympian in 2004. He can be reached at: awilson@theolympian.com.
Not since I last watched White Christmas (made in 1954) have I heard an act called "boffo." But MSNBC's Chris Matthews just used it to describe Sarah Palin's number last night.
A fun way to gauge the success of an event like that is to see what it sends people searching for on the Internet, and Yahoo's Buzz Log has a good run down on Palin's topics: "hockey moms," "community organizer" and "snow machine race." Everybody wants to know all about them.
Last week I went around and asked people about Barack Obama's historic acceptance of the Democratic nomination. Tonight, we'll be collecting reactions from readers to McCain's big night.
Does he need to top his veep? Top Obama?
