Perhaps you're wondering, how do I maintain my lofty heights of fame and significance? What is the secret to my journalistic excellence? I will tell you: I know what the people want to know.

Other reporters scrum around looking for the latest twist in endless election-year legal fights. Some explore novel ideas, like, will the state use tobacco money to balance the budget again? Quaint, but ineffective.

I ask what's on the mind of the people, like, what will the governor be for Halloween?
