I had both of the lads out of the bathtub Saturday, but had managed only about half of the dressing campaign before running railroads and throwing down story books out-polled me and forced me to launch negative attacks regarding the dangers of nudity. Then there was a knock on the door. Some wrestling ensued, but by the time I got downstairs, the visitors were gone, having left a Dino Rossi slim Jim in my door.

Later, the disembodied voice of a congressional candidate in Denver, I'm pretty sure, called and explained how his opponent voted for the bailout package twice, the fool. Why I cared about Denver, I'm not sure.

Alas, you just can't get ahead of the curve this time of year. Which is a way of saying, the blog is behind. Today I've got a lot on my plate, not the least of which is trying to write a story on GMAP. When I explained this to a collegue, he immediately passed out from excitement and began snoring.

It is a riveting topic, I tell you, more accessible than a song by Bradley Nowell., Talked to Robert Behn, chairman of the leadership strategies program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, about GMAP, and he seemed to agree.

"After a while, you have to start to wonder, who the hell’s who. And everyone is speaking in Washington state code. It takes a while to figure out Washington state code," he said.
