Placement of an auto-dependent business on the southeast corner will only make the situation worse. Dan Leahy has presented considerable evidence to back up his legal challenge that the city act in the best interests of Olympia’s residents. But here’s the response I received by email from the city executive secretary Mary Nolan:

  Eagle Urban Renewal Agency asks city to reconsider terminating board

  The Eagle Urban Renewal Agency has asked the city council not to terminate the agency’s board and replace them with the mayor, the four city council members and two appointees.

  The city is considering the change to give it more oversight of the 6-year-old agency.

  The city council is slated to consider a draft ordinance during tonight’s hearing, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at Eagle City Hall, 660 E. Civic Lane.
