LACEY: School Board meetings switch days in fall

North Thurston School Board meetings will move to Tuesdays starting in September, the School Board decided this week.

The 2009-10 School Board meeting dates are not final, but in general the meetings will be held twice a month, at 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, district spokeswoman Courtney Schrieve said.

The meetings of the month will be held at one of the district’s schools, Schrieve said. District officials are developing the schedule of schools, she said.

The board members and incoming superintendent Raj Manhas changed the date to avoid Monday holidays, she said.
