Getting there: Follow River Road from Interstate 5 to Puyallup. There are various places to start your walk including Pioneer Park, the Western Washington Fairgrounds, Clarks Creek Park or the Kmart parking lot near the Riverfront Trail.
History: The organizations say the purpose of “Walk the Valley” is to promote walking as healthy living and a way to “build strong communities and reduce traffic congestion and pollution.”
Activities: The routes go past various locations for additional recreation such as parks, playing field, the Clarks Creek off-leash dog park and circuit training trail, playgrounds and tennis courts.
