Thurston County Sheriff's deputies and officers from the Department of Corrections are searching for a Cedar Creek Corrections Center inmate who escaped while training for a forest service crew around 11:20 a.m. Thursday about a mile from the prison.

Stanley C. Green, 47, was last seen wearing a DOC-issued red shirt and tan pants. He is described as a white male, with blue eyes, and brown hair. He is 6' 3" tall, and weighs approximately 250 pounds.

Green was incarcerated in 2007, for three counts of first-degree robbery in Whatcom and Thurston counties.

Anyone who sees Green, or has information helpful to his capture is urged to call 911.
