About 6:30 a.m. Thursday, detectives served a search warrant at a home in the 1100 block of West Pear Street in Centralia after an investigation revealed that people in the home possessed and distributed methamphetamine, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
Michael J. Darnell, 36, and Destiny E. Koth, 30, both of Centralia, allegedly sold methamphetamine three times to undercover officers over the past few months, according to the release.
In the home, police found an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine, cocaine and check-printing equipment, sheriff’s Chief Civil Deputy Stacy Brown said. They also found counterfeit checks and fraudulent identification belonging to several local victims of identity theft, she said.
Deputies arrested the two as well as Eugene C. Amburgy, 42, of Centralia, who allegedly had an active warrant for his arrest.
As detectives continued the investigation Thursday night, they conducted an undercover buy at the 1200 block of Lum Road. Arrested were James E. Ramirez, 22, of Silver Creek, and Luci L. Curtis, 38, of Centralia, after they allegedly sold methamphetamine to the officer.
Curtis was arrested in the parking lot, but Ramirez fled before being captured and taken into custody, according to the release.
All five were booked into the Lewis County Jail.
