Dream job: General in the U.S. Army.

What I’d like to achieve: Rank of general in the Army.

Someday, looking back on my life, I’d like to be able to say … : My faith kept me on the right path.

Biggest challenges facing teenagers: Most teenagers suffer from a sense of entitlement, a sense that the world owes them something. They need to get over that attitude problem.

One thing in the world I would change if I could: I’d like to help people realize that they have more control, more choice over their future.

Staff comment: “Jared is a hard worker who drives himself to do high-level work. He works independently and respects others. His family loyalty and faith serve him well and have seen him through difficult situations.” – Kevin Head, math teacher, South Sound High School
