Age: 17.

Grade: 12.

School: Capital High School.

Hometown: Olympia.

Parents: Margaret and Ed Holm.

Best personal achievement: Having been given the opportunity to set goals and meet them at Capital, I have been able to attain a 3.7 GPA, play varsity basketball and become class president.

How I spend my time: A typical day consists of friends, family and sports.

Favorite subject: English.

Favorite movie: “Anchorman” because it’s almost too quotable.

Favorite book: “The Color of Water” by James McBride: It’s well-written and inspiring.

Dream job: A renowned author.

Someone I respect: Franklin Delano Roosevelt; he possessed a great deal of fortitude.

College I’d like to attend: I’m still undecided, but Fordham is toward the top of the list regarding my college preferences.

Someone famous I’d like to meet: Gandhi, because he inspired generations of peace.

Someday, looking back on my life I’d like to be able to say … : I impacted many people’s lives in positive ways.

Biggest challenge facing teenagers today: Balancing school and extracurricular activities, while developing substance and character.

One thing in the world I would change if I could: Ignorance and racism. It separates people, countries and the world itself.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Living in a big city, working as a lawyer and still being adventurous.

Staff comment: “Chris Holm is currently our senior class president. He’s our ‘go to guy’ anytime help is needed with the sound system or music and he’s always quick to volunteer for projects that need to be done. Chris’ great sense of humor is always appreciated in ASB leadership class, and he is often our MC when we have events. Chris is a great student, and he’s been a lot of fun to work with.” – Angel Elam, activities director, Capital High School
