Geoducks lose, 4-1, to Concordia in men's soccer

October 8, 2009

Concordia defeated The Evergreen State College, 4-1, in a Cascade Conference men's soccer match in Portland.

Evergreen dropped to 2-3-2 overall and 2-1-1 in the conference. Concordia, which had 27 shot attempts and led 2-0 a halftime, improved to 7-2-1 overall and 6-1 in the league.

“Putting four on a tough team like Evergreen is always nice to see,” Concordia coach Dan Birkey said. “The guys were clicking, which was important, as in this league, you can’t afford to let games slip away.”

Corey Johnson scored Evergreen’s goal.
