Three things to do this weekend

All weekend: Get out there and wallow in the fall color! Trails are glowing, and nothing beats rustling your boots through fallen leaves. Even a quick walk around your block is worth missing a few minutes of pro football.

All weekend: Chum salmon are on the bite at Kennedy Creek, Hood Canal and other South Sound estuaries. Small, chartruese flies or jigs are working well.

Sunday: This is the last day of the regular modern firearm deer season in most parts of Western Washington.
