Timberline-N. Thurston football game will recognize military personnel

• Published October 30, 2009

All military personnel in uniform (or with ID) will receive free admission and will be recognized at halftime of Friday night's Timberline-North Thurston football game at South Sound Stadium.

“Our district is home to a lot of military families and we wanted to find a way to recognize them for their service and contributions to the community and our country,” said Steve Rood, principal of North Thurston High School. “The game was an opportunity for the North Thurston and Timberline school communities to come together and use a popular school event and American past-time as a way to say thank you to our military parents, employees and citizens.”
