Ben Ternan

Bio: The Bearcats’ leader was the Evergreen Conference offensive MVP for an 11-1 team that advanced to the Class 2A state quarterfinals. He completed 57 percent of his passes, throwing for 2,231 yards and 25 touchdowns in the team’s 12 games. He also rushed for 270 yards and three touchdowns.

Cody Peterson

Bio: As The Olympian’s co-Player of the Year, Peterson capped his career with 2,138 yards rushing, an average of 6.6 yards per carry as a senior. He scored 23 touchdowns and was the 2A Evergreen Conference MVP for the second straight season. He also led the Wolves to the postseason for the second consecutive season.

Bio: The Cougars’ hard-nosed runner set a single-season school record for most touchdowns (31). He had 1,625 yards rushing on 222 carries in his first full season as a starter.

Jordan Pine

Bio: The Narrows League offensive MVP was the Bears’ spark on the ground all season. He led the league in rushing (1,538 yards) and scored 21 touchdowns. He also had three receptions for 52 yards.

Andrew Almeida

Bio: Almeida shined early and often for the Tornados. He averaged 210 rushing yards per game and set a Yelm single-season rushing mark of 1,578 yards despite missing two games with a knee injury. He also set the school’s single-game rushing record (289 yards) and scored 21 TDs.

Jordan Radcliffe

Bio: Radcliffe’s breakout season resulted in being named the Olympic Western League’s offensive MVP. He rushed for 1,785 yards and scored 21 touchdowns in the Blazers’ high-powered offense.

Delas Raiford

Senior

Bio: As one of the top receivers in the Olympic Western League, Raiford scored 16 touchdowns – second-best on the team – and had 606 receiving yards. He also had 200 rushing yards and one kickoff return for a touchdown.

Erik Forgione

Bio: One of the EvCo’s top receivers was a big playmaker for the Bearcats’ offense and part of a strong 1-2 receiving corps for quarterback Ben Ternan. Forgione had 52 receptions for 789 yards and eight touchdowns.

Ben Westrum

Senior

Bio: At 6-foot-7, Westrum is the biggest lineman in South Sound. A two-time All-Area pick, he was an intricate part of the Wolves’ running game, paving the way for Cody Peterson and Taylor Charette. Westrum already has Division I college offers.

Marshal Green

Bio: A first-team all-EvCo pick on the line, Green was part of a Black Hills front that opened big holes for the team’s ground game, which compiled more than 3,300 yards rushing.

Cody Hachtel

North Thurston

Bio: Hachtel was the leader of the Rams’ offensive line and opened holes for Lawyer Tillman and North Thurston’s other running backs. Hachtel was a first-team all-OWL lineman.

Marquee Adams

Bio: A three-year starter and first-team all-EvCo pick, Adams anchored the Hawks’ line, which helped Marques Ford reach 1,023 rushing yards. Adams also was a starting linebacker and had 32 unassisted tackles, 26 assisted tackles and four tackles behind the line of scrimmage.

Drew Schultz

Bio: A two-time All-Area honoree, Schultz was the Bears’ best blocker, according to Olympia coach Bill Beattie. He helped open holes for the Bears’ offense and ground game, which was led by Jordan Pine’s 1,538 rushing yards.

Jason Syverson

Bio: As the OWL’s top tight end, Syverson had five catches for 105 yards and caught one touchdown pass. He also had 36 tackles on defense, with five quarterback sacks and one interception.

Nick Mullen

Coach of the year

Bio: Mullen guided the Blazers to the 3A Olympic Western League regular-season title and their best record (10-1) since 2004.
