Traffic alert: Road closures planned

The following road closures are expected in coming days in Thurston County, according to South Puget Sound Community College, the city of Tumwater and the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Olympia: The Crosby Road entrance to South Puget Sound Community College will be closed from 7 a.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Sunday to allow for installation of gates.

The Mottman Road entrance will be closed from 7 a.m. Dec. 18 through 5 p.m. Dec. 20. For more information, call the Campus Security and Parking Office at 360-596-5299.

Tumwater: Flaggers will control traffic from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Boston Street and Deschutes Parkway to expose a manhole owned by the LOTT Alliance.

West Thurston County: Dangerous-tree removal will close the right lane of eastbound State Route 8 at Kennedy Creek Road Southwest from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.
