A Shelton man suffered abdominal and possible head injuries and a Shelton woman suffered minor injuries in a crash Friday about 7 miles north of Shelton, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Also according to the patrol:

Daniel Sanchez-Reyes, 25, of Shelton was driving west on Pickering Road and pulled onto state Route 3 in front of an oncoming car. The car struck the 1990 Honda Accord driven by Sanchez-Reyes, and he was taken to Mason General Hospital.

In the other vehicle, a 1976 Ford pickup, passenger Angela R. Gatica, 24, of Shelton suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mason General Hospital. Passenger Shelby D. Austin, 17, of Belfair, and driver Zachary D. Hines, 20, of Grapeview were not injured.

Sanchez-Reyes was to be cited for failure to yield right of way. Alcohol or drugs were not a factor.
