A 30-year-old Steilacoom man has admitted robbing a Grays Harbor County man at gunpoint after the victim's ex-girlfriend lured him to an ambush in Hoquiam, according to The Daily World of Aberdeen.

Christopher J. Kennedy pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of first-degree robbery, accepting the prosecutor’s offer to drop a firearm enhancement that could have lengthened his sentence.

Deputy prosecutor Kraig Newman said Kennedy faces three to four years in prison.

According to court records:

Heather M. Durham, 39, of Aberdeen, lured her ex-boyfriend to a secluded spot along Aberdeen Avenue on Aug. 11 with a plan to “scare some sense into him.”

When Durham pulled over, Kennedy forced the man out of the vehicle at gunpoint. Kennedy demanded money and drugs, taking the victim’s wallet and cell phone.

Authorities arrested Kennedy, Durham and two others – Jacob P. Grazioli, 19, and Erin P. Gorman, 29, of Lakewood – soon after the robbery.

Durham is serving 51/2 years in prison for her role in the luring. Kennedy is scheduled to be sentenced Monday.
