Numerous bills pending in the Legislature are nearing action deadlines in Olympia.

According to legislative rules, Monday is the deadline for policy bills to move out of committee in the state Senate. Tuesday is the same deadline in the state House of Representatives.

Feb. 16 is the last day for committees to take action on bills in their houses of origin, either letting them “die” in committee or approving them.

Then the action starts all over. March 5 is the last day for committees to act on bills coming from the other chamber. March 11 is scheduled to be the last day of the 60-day session.
