Thurston County seeks volunteers for its Master Recycler Program, which trains people to be community educators on solid waste issues such as waste reduction, recycling and composting.

Volunteers receive 19 hours of training between March 2 and March 30. Upon completion of the class, participants are asked to spend 30 hours as community educators. The class is limited to 20 people, and the deadline to apply is Feb. 22.
