The 11th annual ceremony will be May 1 in Letterman Auditorium, Madigan Army Medical Center. Children from military families who are physically or mentally challenged and demonstrate extraordinary courage and valor in the face of adversity will be honored. Each child is presented with a Young Hero medal, certificate and gifts.
In 2005, the program was dedicated to the memory of Claire Daily-Stafinbil, founding board member of the Madigan Foundation, and a Young Heroes’ supporter.
