Lawrie perfect for Huskies

THE OLYMPIAN

Danielle Lawrie, the reigning national player of the year, pitched her second perfect game of the season as the University of Washington softball team beat Miami of Ohio, 3-0, on Thursday in Seattle.

The senior struck out 14 to improve to 13-0 this season.

Jenn Salling hit her fourth home run of the year for top-ranked Washington (18-1). Morgan Stuart and Shawna Wright each went 2-for-3.
