HONORS

The following students have been inducted into the Society of Fellows, the academic honorary society at Saint Martin’s University: Ryan Boley, Jamey Gelhar and Miles McClintock.

Saint Martin’s University student Jacob Kinderman recently won the Encouragement Award at a district competition for the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in Vancouver. The purpose of the National Council Auditions Program is to find exceptionally talented young opera singers, ages 20-30, and to assist them in their development. The audition program also seeks out new talent for the Metropolitan Opera and possible participants in the Young Artist Development Program of the Met.

Julia Brezicha, a graduate of Olympia High School, is serving as president of Wooster Christian Fellowship at The College of Wooster this year.

DEGREES

Colette L. Mullins, McCleary, has earned an Associate in Science degree in nursing from Excelsior College.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Saint Martin’s University recently announced recipients of the Linda Fletcher Memorial Scholarship. Senior Krystal M. Lucero and junior Noemi Salinas Cagatin will each receive $2,500. They are studying psychology at Saint Martin’s extension campuses.

DEAN’S LIST

Brittainy Tousley has been named to the dean’s list for fall semester at Boston University.

Nadine Elisabeth Funchion was named to the dean’s list at Pensacola Christian College for the 2009 fall semester.
