Carmen Victor Rodas-Urias was driving at a high rate of speed near milepost 80 on northbound Interstate 5 when he lost control of his 1991 Nissan car and collided with a vehicle being driven by James Renken, a 52-year-old Newberg, Ore., man, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Renken’s 2004 Chevrolet pickup rolled several times, causing face and scalp lacerations. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, according to the patrol.
Rodas-Urias allegedly abandoned his car and fled on foot to his residence in Centralia.
Meanwhile, his vehicle was struck by a third car, driven by 69-year-old Winlock man, Clayton Walker.
Walker sustained a laceration to his hand but was not transported for medical treatment, according to The Chronicle of Centralia.
