Panel pulls Olympia physician's license to practice

THE OLYMPIAN

The Medical Quality Assurance Commission and Department of Health has revoked Olympia physician Sarah S. Reade's license after she was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol in December.

According to a news release from the health department:

The commission suspended Reade’s license in January, and her “subsequent behavior raised concerns about her ability to practice medicine with reasonable skill and safety due to a mental condition,” the release states. The commission revoked her license March 5.

The commission also placed Reade’s license on probation in 2005 for alcohol misuse and making false statements to a department investigator about having controlled substances without a valid prescription.
