Belongings of missing mom, son wash up on beach

Chris Mealy.Mealy said a half-full bottle of white wine is likely the same bottle of wine Shantina Smiley purchased at the Handy Pantry in west Olympia Saturday night before she disappeared.A size 9 shoe that washed up on the beach also belongs to Smiley; an inhaler and a ball belongs to Smiley's 8-year-old son, Azriel Carver, Mealy said.The items washed up on the beach off of Island View Court Sunday - about a quarter mile from where Smiley's minivan was found abandoned Sunday morning on the shore of Little Fish Trap.Smiley and her son, Azriel Carver, disappeared Saturday night during a stop in Olympia during a drive from Silverdale to Castle Rock. Smiley's fiancé, Robb Simmons, has said Smiley is a recovering alcoholic who recently had a relapse.
