OLYMPIA: Man struck by car, killed on Martin Way

A 44-year-old man died Wednesday night after he was struck by a car on Martin Way, according to the Olympia Police Department.

Witnesses told officers the man had been in the road, appeared confused and wandered in several directions, according to a news release. Several vehicles came close to striking him before one hit him. Drivers, including the person whose vehicle struck the man, stayed at the scene, police said.

The man was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, where he died at 10 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact Olympia police at 360-753-8300.
