Linehan seeks more freedom
ANCHORAGE - Mechele Linehan is seeking looser bail conditions as she awaits her second murder trial.The 37-year-old Olympia woman is staying in Anchorage under strict bail terms since she was released from prison in May.Linehans murder conviction was overturned earlier this year by the Alaska Court of Appeals and the former stripper-turnedsoccer mom will now stand trial again for the 1996 killing of Kent Leppink.Her attorney, John Cashion, recently filed a motion protesting the bail conditions that keep Linehan home nearly all the time and under the watch of a third party.
