Gig Harbor man killed in motorcycle crash

A 44-year-old Gig Harbor man was killed Sunday afternoon in a crash in the Artondale area.

Renwick Dayton died at a Tacoma hospital a short time after the 12:35 p.m. crash, the Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office reported.

Dayton was riding a motorcycle when he collided with another vehicle at 40th Street Northwest and 80th Avenue Northwest, the office reported.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Department was investigating.

Medical problem leads to car crash in Kennewick

A two-vehicle crash in Kennewick near Grandridge Boulevard and Quinault Avenue reportedly was the result of one driver's medical condition, police said.

The crash happened Sunday evening when one vehicle sideswiped the other on Young Street between the intersections of Quinault and Grandridge.

Police said neither driver appeared to suffer injuries in the accident. The driver who reportedly caused the crash was treated by medical personnel at the scene and taken for treatment.
