Heck says he has more than $800,000

The Associated PressJuly 16, 2010

Democrat Denny Heck is still way ahead of the fundraising crowd in his campaign for the seat of retiring Rep. Brian Baird.

Heck, a former state representative who founded the TVW network, says he’s raised $280,000 in the last three months, and added $100,000 of his own money. Heck says he has more than $800,000 in the bank.

Republican Jaime Herrera, of Camas, says she raised more than $180,000 during that same time period and has about $200,000 on hand. Republican David Castillo is also in the race.
