Brian Sandford, staff writer

A 14-year-old Tenino boy was taken to a hospital after a one-car crash Friday that injured a 65-year-old Forks man, according to the Washington State Patrol.

According to the patrol:

John Abrahamson of Forks was driving a 24-foot U-Haul truck south on U.S. Highway 101, 3.5 miles north of Amanda Park, at 9:05 a.m. and ran off the road, striking a tree. He suffered a broken arm and a back injury and was taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital. Passenger William McBride of Tenino was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The truck sustained an estimated $10,000 in damage. Abrahamson fell asleep and will face charges of negligent driving.
