The Washington State Employees Credit Union's annual 'shred day' is 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at its Olympia headquarters at 400 E. Union.

Those who attend the free event can shred up to three boxes of documents, such as old tax returns, bank statements and other confidential papers. Participants also are asked to bring a personal hygiene or household cleaning product, which the credit union will donate to the YWCA’s “Other Bank.”
