DEAN'S LIST

OLYMPIA

BENJAMIN D. KNOPF was named to the dean’s list at Grand Valley State University (Mich.) for the winter semester.

WALKER JOHNSTON SHAVE was named to the dean’s list at Hillsdale College (Mich.) for the fall 2009 semester. Shave is the son of Judith and Philip Shave of Olympia, a 2009 home-school graduate, and a graduate of South Puget Sound Community College.

EMILY RILEY is a recipient of the dean’s award for academic excellence during the 2009 fall term at Colgate University (N.Y.). Riley is the daughter of Carol and Peter Riley of Olympia and a 2006 graduate of Capital High School.

JERAMEY PROBERT was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 term at Pacific University (Ore.).

MORGAN SPARKS was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 term the University of Montana. Sparks is a 2008 graduate of Capital High School.

STACEY BECKMAN, RILEY COOK and MARISA GUBBE were named to the dean’s list at Northwest Nazarene University (Idaho) for the fall 2009 semester.

YELM

DANYELLE HOWARD was named to the dean’s list at Northwest Nazarene University (Idaho) for fall 2009 semester.

SCHOLARSHIPS

LACEY

ANDREW FRENCH received a $1,500 college scholarship from Scholarships for Military Children Andrew plans to attend Whitworth University in Spokane.

ASHLEY YATES, North Thurston High School, has received a $1,000 scholarship from the Woman’s Club of Olympia. Yates plans to attend Washington State University.

OLYMPIA

ANIKA ENGELS, Olympia High School, has received a $750 scholarship from the Woman’s Club of Olympia. Engels plans to attend Whitworth University in Spokane.

YELM

MAKAILA WOODARD, Yelm High School, has received a $500 scholarship from the Woman’s Club of Olympia. Woodard plans to attend the University of Washington.
