SeaTac's Alaska Airlines is teaming up with Icelandair to allow their passengers and frequent flier program members to easily fly on each other’s routes.

The new alliance will allow Icelandair to put its code on Alaska flights connecting to its flight from Iceland in Seattle.

Alaska frequent flier program members now can earn miles on Icelandair flights and use their miles to book flights on Icelandair. The Alaska Airlines employs more than 6,000 people in the state.
