HEPPNER, Ore. - A former Oregon teacher has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to having sex with two of her students.
Wendy Cannin pleaded guilty to rape, sodomy and sexual abuse charges after admitting she had sex with two teenage boys, ages 15 and 17, while she was a teacher at Heppner High School.
The Oregon attorney generals office said Thursday the 31-year-old Cannin must also register as a sex offender after serving her sentence.
Cannin resigned shortly before her arrest last August.
