In July, the state Department of Health's Health Care Assistant Program suspended the credentials of Sally Castillo Yancey, who was charged with 10 counts of second- degree identity theft in 2009, according to a news release. According to the relea-se: Yancey entered into a drug court contract, and the court entered an order imposing sanctions for drug court program violations in 2009. She also admitted to a department investigator that she wrote prescriptions for narcotic drugs for herself for eight months while working as a health care assistant in 2007. Also in July, the Nursing Commission placed the licenses of registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner John A. Cranton on probation for a year. He entered a nurse-patient relationship with a per- son with whom he had a personal and sexual relationship.
