An Olympia woman was killed Saturday night in a one-car crash in Thurston County.

Jo-El K. Bade, 44, was a passenger in the 2005 BMW M3 traveling north on Littlerock Road near Sargent Road Southwest. The car veered off the roadway and struck a tree just before 10 p.m. Saturday, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The driver of the BMW, a 43-year-old man from Rochester, was injured and transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.

Neither the driver nor his passenger was wearing a seat belt.

Alcohol was likely involved, although the cause of the crash remains under investigation, according to the patrol. The driver could face vehicular homicide charges.

MOSES LAKE -- An Idaho resident was injured late Friday when the vehicle she was riding in crashed on Highway 17 south of Moses Lake.

Sheri L. Arnold, 43, of Lewiston, Idaho, was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake following the crash. The driver, Jeffery Keys, 43, also of Lewiston, was not injured and has been charged with driving under the influence of an intoxicant.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the 2001 Jeep Cherokee driven by Keys was northbound on the highway two miles south of Moses Lake when it left the roadway on the left side. It came to rest against the guardrail for the southbound shoulder.

A motorist died in a head-on crash early Saturday while driving on the wrong side of Interstate 82, four miles north of the Oregon border.

A Washington State Patrol report did not release the driver's name, gender, age or hometown until troopers can notify relatives of the death.

The crash occurred at 2:36 a.m. when the driver of a 1988 Dodge Colt was traveling east in the highway's westbound lanes, the report said. The Dodge collided with a 2007 Chevrolet truck driven by Alejandro V. Valdez, 43, of Kennewick.
