OLYMPIA DEMOLAY 5K RUN/WALK FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL SPORTS: 11 a.m. Oct. 16, Tumwater Historical Park, 777 Simmons Road S.W., Tumwater. Registration is $15 at the race. Sixty percent of profits will benefit North Thurston, Olympia, and Tumwater school sports programs. Teams, groups, and individuals are welcome to participate. dentists go broadway: Tickets are on sale now for Olympia Union Gospel Mission’s annual dental clinic benefit concert. Tickets are $20-$25, and can be purchased at olytix.org, or by calling 753-8586. Curtain opens at the concert at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, 512 Washington St. S.E., Olympia. The show will feature Olympia Jazz Senators big band, local professional vocal and dance talent, and dental professionals from throughout Thurston County. Lacey lamplighters lions club: Annual garage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 6 at Lacey Church of God, 5005 Lacey Blvd. S.E. All items are donated by Lions and their friends. The sale benefits Lions projects in the community.
