A campaign forum for three South Sound legislative districts is planned on the afternoon of Oct. 13 at The Evergreen State College.

The event is set for 3-5 p.m. at the Recital Hall in the Communications Building and will feature candidates from the 22nd, 35th and 20th legislative districts.

Listed attendees include GOP candidate Jason Hearn and Democrat Chris Reykdal in the 22nd; Democratic Rep. Kathy Haigh in one district in the 35th and Republican Linda Simpson in the other; and Democrat Corinne Tobeck in one 20th District race and unopposed Republican Rep. Gary Alexander in the other. Democratic Rep. Sam Hunt in the 22nd and Sen. Tim Sheldon in the 35th also might attend; other missing candidates have conflicts or have not confirmed, Evergreen spokesman Jason Wettstein said.

Sponsors are the Friends of the Evergreen Library, League of Women Voters-Thurston County and Evergreen’s Office of Governmental Affairs. Questions will be submitted from the audience; organizers hope to focus on funding and policy issues confronting the region and higher education.
