The new operators of the Cosmopolis Pulp Mill say they're taking all applications online in their effort to recruit as many as 150 employees.

Cosmo Specialty Fibers launched a website Wednesday that links to 27 types of jobs, including administrative assistants, lab managers and pulp operators, according to The Daily World of Aberdeen.

Company spokesman Robert Buchan said the company decided on this approach after seeing more than 800 people show up for a recent job fair nearby.

The company will accept applications in December and January and hopes to be operating by May 1, he said.

Weyerhaeuser Co. closed the mill on the central Washington coast in 2006, laying off about 245 workers. It sold the mothballed mill to Cosmo and its ownership group in September.
