A sprinkler pipe burst in the auxiliary gymnasium at Black Hills High School on New Year’s Day, flooding the facility and forcing schedule changes for today’s basketball games against Timberline.

Black Hills athletic director Don Farler said the junior varsity boys game will be played at 4 p.m. at Timberline High School.

The “C” team game, also at Timberline, has been changed to 5:30 p.m.

The JV girls will play at 4 p.m. at Black Hills, with the girls game following at 6 p.m. and the boys at 7:30.

More than an inch of water flooded the gym Saturday. The main gym was not affected.

Farler said the main gym can be used for all the scheduled boys games Thursday against River Ridge.
