Hare, a student at Tumwater High, broke the record of 93 set in 2006 by Olympia’s Kyle Schrader.

Brooke Hare, who attends Black Lake, won the girls 11-12 division with 71 points.

Other high scores were Brianna Burford (43) of Michael T Simmons in the girls 7-8 group, Taylor Grantham (68) of Horizons in the girls 9-10 group, Jona Spiller (75) of Reeves MS in the girls 13-14 group, Chance McDonald of Chloe Clark in the boys 7-8 group and Chris Penner of Griffin in the boys 9-10 group.

Top finishers in each division advance to the state HotSpot championship on March 20 at North Thurston High.

HotSpot participants score points by making baskets from designated spots on the court during two 60-second rounds.
