WINE- AND BEER-TASTING GALA Capital High School Booster Club will sponsor a fundraising tasting from 6-9 p.m. March 12 in the South Puget Sound Community College Student Union building, 2011 Mottman Road S.W., Olympia. $40 per person or $75 for couples. 360-866-0978.

OUT OF TOWN

THE ART OF WINE TASTING Students will learn about the great vineyards of the world, and taste and talk about what makes wine so special, 1-4 p.m. March 5 and May 7, Centralia College, 600 Centralia College Blvd., Centralia. Cost is $29.
