Cougars DT Rankin out for rest of spring

Washington State senior defensive tackle Brandon Rankin, a projected starter next season, will miss the remainder of spring practice after having right-shoulder surgery.

WSU coach Paul Wulff said Rankin should be ready for the start of the season. Rankin’s shoulder bothered him last season.
