List of luckiest places for Washington Lottery tickets

OLYMPIA, Wash. - Washington's Lottery has named the "Luckiest Stores" - retailers that sold the most winning tickets of prizes worth $1,000 or more in 2010 - from four regions: the Puget Sound, Vancouver, Central Washington and Eastern Washington.

In the Puget Sound region, Safeway store at 4700 Yelm Highway Southeast in Lacey and the Fred Meyer at 365 Renton Center Way Southwest in Renton tied for the title of "Luckiest Store!" Both sold 15 tickets worth $1,000 or more in 2010.

Rounding out the top 10 retailers in the Puget Sound are:

• Safeway at 1243 Marvin Road Northeast in Lacey with 14 big wins

• Top Food & Drug at 201 37th Avenue Southeast in Puyallup with 14 big wins

• Top Food & Drug at 1301 Avenue D in Snohomish with 13 big wins

• Hilltop Red Apple Market at 2701 Beacon Avenue South in Seattle with 13 big wins

• Uwajimaya at 600 Fifth Avenue South in Seattle also with 13 big wins

• QFC at 10116 Northeast Eighth Street in Bellevue with 12 big wins

• Safeway at 6850 Northeast Bothell Way in Kenmore also with 12 big wins

• Safeway at 1423 Northwest Market Street in Seattle also with 12 big wins

"Mega Millions and Lotto jackpots continue to climb," said Scott Kinney, Communications Director for Washington's Lottery. "On St. Patrick's Day, everyone should try their luck and buy a ticket at one of our 'lucky' retailers. We want to celebrate with another big Mega Millions winner in Washington."
